Auto 1 – Automotive Locksmithing 1 (3Hr. 49 Min.)We have had many requests to make a course teaching the skills needed to be an automotive locksmith. This Course, Auto 1, is in response to those requests. Automotive locksmithing is a very large subject and it is not realistic to think that a person could watch a 45 minute course and begin working in this field. Consequently, this first course is nearly FOUR HOURS long.

We believe Auto 1 covers enough material that it will allow a person to get started working in this field. The course covers basic skills that apply to nearly every vehicle. You will also learn how to make the key from the VIN number.

Auto 2 (1 Hr. 59 Min.) — Continue training as an automotive locksmith. Auto 2 picks up where Auto 1 left off. Learn more advanced skills for making automotive keys.

Auto 3  — GM 6 Cut Locks  (1 Hr. 58 Min.) – This course will focus on the 6 cut locks which were used by General Motors on the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. With only a few changes, GM used the same basic six cut lock system from 1935 until 2004. There are still millions of cars in use that have these locks. The six cut locks were slowly phased out after the introduction of 10 cut lock in 1994. We will cover 10 cut locks in Auto 4.

Auto 4 — GM 10 Cut Locks – Part 1 (1 Hr. 50 Min.) – This course is a continuation of our automotive locksmith training presented in our Auto 1, Auto 2, and Auto 3 courses. This course will focus on the GM 10 cut locks which were used by General Motors on the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. There are still millions of cars in use that have these locks. Most of these cars do not require a programmer. Most of them either do not require programming or have on-board programming.

Auto 5 — GM 10 Cut Locks – Part 2 – (1 Hr. 57 Min.) This course is a continuation of our automotive locksmith training presented in our Auto 1, Auto 2, Auto 3, and Auto 4 courses. This course will continue to focus on the GM 10 cut locks. There is also a bonus section on Alpha Tec 6-Cut locks.

New Course — Auto 6 — Chrysler Locks – (1 Hr. 55 Min.) This course is a continuation of our automotive locksmith training presented in our Auto 1, Auto 2, Auto 3, Auto 4, and Auto 5 courses. This course will focus on Chrysler Locks (5-Cut, 7-Cut, and 8-Cut locks).  It includes a demo of removing a Chrysler ignition lock using the A1 PS5 Kit.  It also includes a demo of programming a remote head transponder key using the Autek Ikey 820.
